AI Adoption Review

Fixed fee · about 1 to 2 weeks

A review that finds where AI pays off in your business. I map up to 3 workflows, check the tools you already pay for, and recommend what to buy, build, automate, change, or leave alone. Every new engagement with me starts here.

If the review finds no workflow where AI pays off, you don't pay.

Who it's for

Owners and managers of small and mid-sized businesses, in any sector, who know AI could save their team time but not where to start.

It also suits a business that already pays for AI tools without seeing a change in how the work gets done. A quick look at those tools, and how to run them for less, can take an hour. The review looks at how your work gets done, which is why it takes 1 to 2 weeks.

What the review covers

What I look at

  • A kickoff with the owner and short interviews with up to 5 people who do the work.
  • Up to 3 workflows mapped in detail, with their current time and cost.
  • A check of the AI tools and subscriptions you already pay for, and what each costs per month.
  • A data and integration check: where the data lives, who can access it, and what each vendor does with it.

What you get

  • A written report and a 60-minute walkthrough.
  • A recommendation for each workflow: buy a tool, build, use ordinary automation, change the process, or leave it alone.
  • A business case for each recommendation that separates hours recovered, costs removed and new revenue, and counts software, review and maintenance costs.
  • Which business data can go into which AI tool, written as a one-page rule set.
  • A fixed-price proposal for the pilot.

Where the review leads

Each recommendation is a decision for you. The review can lead to one of these, or end on its own.

  1. Setup & Integration

If a workflow is worth it, the review ends with a fixed-price proposal for a pilot on it. The pilot is measured against a baseline, then you decide to expand, revise, or stop.

    How setup works
  2. Ongoing AI Advisor

A working session on one real task each month, with a note on hours, cost, and what changed.

    How the advisor works
  3. Or stop there

The report is yours either way. Some recommendations need no more help from me: a tool you already pay for, a change to the process, or leaving a task as it is.

Questions about the review

How much does the AI Adoption Review cost?

It's a fixed fee, agreed before we start. I quote it after the free call, once I know how many workflows and people are involved. If the review finds no workflow where AI pays off, you don't pay.

Is this an AI audit?

Yes, in the sense most people mean: it checks where AI fits in your work, what you already pay for, and whether your data is ready for it. Each recommendation also comes with a business case, and the review ends with a fixed-price proposal for one pilot.

How much of my team's time does it take?

A kickoff with you, and short interviews with up to 5 people who do the work. I do the mapping and the analysis.

What if AI isn't the answer?

Then the review says so. A recommendation can be ordinary automation, a change to the process, or leaving the task alone. If no workflow is worth using AI on, you don't pay.

Do you work with businesses outside Toronto?

Yes. I'm based in Toronto and work with clients worldwide. Most work is remote; I'm glad to meet in person in Toronto.

Bring one task that takes your team too much time, and we'll work out on the call whether a review makes sense. 30 minutes, free, no preparation needed. I'll tell you on the call if there's no opportunity.
